River mouth wave
Rian heading for the promised land, this was the start of the good luck we had with waves. We pulled off the main road once we saw these A-frame waves. Camping here for three nights and all we did was eat, sleep and surf.

Epic scenery with a perfect wave near the cliffs during typhoon vongfong.
As well as our camping, clothes and food that we carry, we also have to pack our camera gear as well. Here is Dylan cleaning is camera late afternoon.

Climbing to Taiwans highest road
During the trip we explored the Taiwans epic mountains. We set our selves the challenge of climbing upto Wuling Pass 3275m high. It took us 2 days and a morning to climb and 4 hours to decend back to the coast.
This is where we camped on the first night.
Mountain road near Wuling pass

Climbing Wuling Pass (3,275m) — the highest paved road in East Asia — with surfboards strapped to our bikes was one of the toughest and most epic days of the trip.
Starting from the east coast near Taroko Gorge, we grinded for hours up steep, relentless gradients, legs burning as the air grew thin and the temperature dropped. The road twisted through dramatic mountain scenery, eventually opening to jaw-dropping views high above the clouds.
It was pure suffering and pure reward — a brutal test of willpower that made every hidden wave we found later feel even sweeter.

Sun setting near the peak of Wuling Pass, the mountain temperature is alot cooler than the coastal areas.
Dylan pushing up the hotel road to the main road before we summit Wuling Pass.
